Before I give a company my business I do research about that company and always make an informed decision. Therefore, when I enter into a contract I know what I am going to get and I am almost always satisfied. It is rare to find a company that exceeds my expectations though. Floor It Now has exceeded my expectations and is therefore receiving my first ever positive review. I first learned of Floor It Now in my local news paper while reviewing the advertisements. I had a relatively small carpet job I needed to find a contractor for (about 450 sq ft). I looked at Home Depot and Costco and found suitable carpets but decided to look in Floor It Now before I made my final decision. When I arrived I was promptly greeted by Katie, a very professional and knowledgeable sales woman who listened to my project details and cheerfully showed me several choices that fit my needs. She gave me several samples to take home with me so that I could compare them to my paint colors. One of the samples matched perfectly, so the next day I went back to Floor It Now to see how much the carpet would cost. Katie showed me several choices of carpet padding, including a new 10 lb. memory foam carpet padding with moisture barrier. I provided Katie with the room dimensions. She typed the information into her computer and provided me a detailed print out with labor and materials which came to $1362.50. I had chosen the 10 lb. padding and a very nice two-tone Berber. The price was substantially less than Costco and Home Depot. Floor It Now also had a 12 month no payments, no interest program which I was able to take advantage of. Katie scheduled an installer to come out to my house and install the carpet. She had installers available for the next business day, but I actually needed a few days to prepare the room, so she set me up for installation on my requested date. The installers arrived as scheduled and looked at the room to be carpeted. They found that I had measured short by about 6". After reviewing my measurements I saw that I had incorrectly added the width of the closet to the length of the room, I should have added the length of the closet to the length of the room due to their orientations. The installer informed Floor It Now that I had ordered my carpet about a foot too short. Floor It Now cut a new length of carpet for me (additional 15 sq ft total) and exchanged it with the previous length I had purchased at no additional cost. The installer returned and began installing the tack-boards and padding. Frank (owner of Archino Floor Covering) was the lead installer. He looked at two stairs that I had constructed the night before, which lead into the room, and he recommended that I nail a 1" X 1" strip of wood along the top edge of each step to give the carpet a wrapped around finished look. I had the materials on hand and was able to accomplish the job in about 10 minutes while he waited. Just like he said, the steps looked incredible once they were finished. Frank and his team were professional and courteous. They treated my house well and exceeded my expectations. From the hassle free selection of the carpet, to the quick and professional installation, including a no-cost exchange of carpet and suggestions for upgrading the finished look of my stairs; Floor It Now has exceeded my expectations and will now be my preferred store to go to for all my flooring needs.
